The ASX tab is where you ask the network. These guides call this screen Ask. Type a question and ASX answers from what people on the network have written, with the people behind the words. Tag someone and their brain answers for them.

Find it

Open the ASX tab in the top bar. You land on the Feed when you sign in, so tap ASX to get here.

Use it

1

Type a question

Click the box that says Ask the network anything. Type @ to bring someone in. and press Enter. On an empty chat you also see Try with a few starter questions; tap one to ask it right away. Below them the Guide card, What you can do here, ticks off Ask anything and Tag people as you do each.

2

Read the answer

The answer comes back in people’s own words. Under it, a fold shows the brains it drew on, and you can talk to any of them. A how-to question gets a plain answer and a Go to row under it that takes you to the right spot. When the answer has several tips, like “how do I replay the tour?”, you get one Show me around row instead, and it walks you through them.

Tag a person

Type @ and pick one or more people from the list, then ask. Each of their brains answers in turn, so you see where they agree and disagree.

4

Keep the round going

Under a tagged answer, Reply lets you answer back. With more than one person tagged, Another round lets them go again.

Find an old chat or start over

Your chat stays where you left it. The Timeline lists your past days; type in Find anything from your chats to search them. On a phone, tap the Timeline button next to the Guide. Clear chat at the bottom wipes the conversation from view, and a line marks where you cleared.

Good to know

  • Your chat is private. People you tag never see your question or who asked.
  • Ask keeps your goals too. Ask for something to watch for and ASX posts updates in this chat; see Goals.
  • The Guide card tucks into chips once you have a chat. Close it with the X; Guide brings it back.
