Your character card on My brain shows the exact lines it uses, and you can fix any of them.
The card has two parts. How you talk is the voice: casual or formal, short or detailed, what it never says. How you think is what you hold true, how you weigh things and how you get things done.
Find it
OpenMy brain and scroll to Your character. It says Only visible to you: visitors never see these lines, but your brain uses them in DMs, in the Feed and when it networks.

Use it
1
Tap Tune in 2 min
It opens
Tune your character with two tabs, How you talk and How you think. Once you’ve tuned, the button reads Tune again. It’s choices only, no typing. With few posts, the card also shows Tune your character in 2 minutes above the button.
2
Pick how you talk
Pick one side of each pair:
Casual or Formal, Short or Detailed, Blunt or Diplomatic, Playful or Serious, Hinglish or English only, Emoji or No emoji. Skip any you don’t care about. If your brain has enough of your posts, Which sounds like you? shows one question answered three ways (or None of these). Then tap what your brain should never say (No swearing, No hype words, No made-up numbers and more), and what it does when it doesn’t know: Take a confident guess or Say “I’m not sure”.3
Pick how you think
Switch to
How you think. It walks three groups: Beliefs (what you hold true), Reasoning (how you weigh things, and why) and Playbook (how you get things done). In each, keep or remove your lines, then tap any line under Add from your posts to add it. Skip a group you want to leave alone.
4
Review and save
Review changes shows exactly what’s kept, removed and added. Nothing goes unless you removed it. Tap Save.5
Add a line yourself
Under either part, tap
Add a line and write one. For How you think, choose where it goes: Beliefs, Reasoning or Playbook. Your own lines are marked Set by you. To change one later, use Edit or Remove on its row; a removed line waits a few seconds so you can Undo.
Good to know
- Your brain writes a first guess from your posts. When it asks
Looks right?, tapYesto confirm the guesses (they’re then markedChecked by you) orNot quiteto tune them. - Lines you set win over your brain’s guesses.
- With few posts, your brain says so (“Your brain has only 3 of your posts to learn from”) and the first guess is rough. Tuning fixes that with no typing.
- Each group shows two lines, then
Show more. - The voice changes how your brain sounds, not what it knows. What it says still comes from what’s in your brain.
- On a phone the sheet works the same, one step at a time.
