Sometimes you tell your brain two things that can’t both be true, like where you live or where you work. When it spots a clash, it asks you which is right. Until you pick, it answers with the newer one.

Find it

A Conflicts card shows up on My brain, under your brain card, only when your brain has found a clash. No card means no clashes. The card is marked Only visible to you.
The card only appears when your brain finds a clash, so there’s no screenshot of it yet.

Use it

1

Open a conflict

The card says “You told your brain two different things. Pick the one that’s right.” Each conflict has a topic as its title and shows the two lines side by side, as one line vs the other. Tap one to open it (the first is already open).
2

Check where each came from

Each side is tagged Public or Exclusive, and tells you where it came from and when. Tap that line to read the exact words you wrote.
3

Pick one

Tap Keep this next to the line that’s right. If both are true, tap Not a conflict instead. Your brain then says what changed, for example “Your brain now says this everywhere.” or “Your brain won’t ask about these two again.”
4

Undo if you slipped

For a few seconds after you pick, Undo brings the conflict back. After that your choice is saved.

Good to know

  • Keep this rewrites only the losing line. If one side was Exclusive and the other Public, the one you keep becomes what your brain says on both sides, so an exclusive fact can end up public if you keep it over a public one. Two exclusive lines never become public.
  • The card shows three conflicts first; tap Show more for the rest. When you’ve dealt with all of them, a Dismiss button closes the card.
  • If saving fails you’ll see “Couldn’t save that. Try again.”
