On My brain,Your brain has an Exclusive tab (with a lock) next to Mind and Sources. It appears once you have something exclusive.
Use it

Choose when you add a note
In 
Add to your brain, write something and tap Add to brain. A menu asks where it goes: Exclusive (Only available via DMs) or Public (Visible in your Mind). You’ll see “Added as exclusive. Only available via DMs.” or “Added to your brain. Visible in your Mind.”2
Know that PDFs are exclusive
Tap the paperclip (
Upload PDF) and the box says “PDFs are exclusive. Only available via DMs.” We review every PDF first; once approved it goes into your brain as exclusive.3
Keep an Ask card exclusive
When Ask writes a card from your chats, you get three choices:
Post publicly, Keep exclusive and Discard. Keep exclusive says “Your brain answers for you with it. Only your connections see it.” The card then leaves Ask and shows up in your Exclusive tab.Screenshot coming soon.

Review the Exclusive tab
Open 
Exclusive to see everything that only your connections see, newest first. The top line reads “Your brain answers for you with these. Only your connections see them.” Each row is tagged Chat, Pasted text or PDF.5
Take one back
Tap the trash icon (
Remove) on a row. It asks Remove from exclusive? Tap Remove to confirm or Cancel.Good to know
- Removing a row that came from a chat leaves the chat alone. The line under the question says who keeps it, for example “Only Sam keeps it, in their chat.”
- A fact in both places that disagrees becomes a conflict.
- Public notes show in your Mind and can show on your profile; exclusive ones never do.
